- Model B002B Bioacoustic Probe
- Model B002B is discontinued and all stock has been sold. Development of a replacement is underway but as of this writing (5 November 2007) it is too early to list specific options and ordering information.
- Model B002B Bioacoustic Probe
- Integrated, self-contained underwater acoustic recording instrument with
576 MB storage capacity,
hydrophone (-172 dB sensitivity after integrated preamplification),
pressure transducer (750 PSI for 500 m maximum depth),
and thermistor, and maximum sample rate of 20 kHz. Battery
(sufficient for one deployment) included.
- Model B002PA Power adapter
- Supplies power to the Bioacoustic Probe, when it is not
being run off battery, via a custom-machined threaded insert
that mates with the battery compartment. Each user must have at least one
adapter
to power the Bioacoustic Probe during energy-intensive
tasks such as data offload.

Option B002/1GB
- Storage upgrade to 1 GB total storage capacity.

Option B002/ACCEL
- Upgrade to incorporate 2D accelerometer.
- Option B002/1500PSI
Option B002/3000PSI
- Modifications for different depth ranges. 1500 PSI
is appropriate for maximum depths of 1000 m; 3000 PSI
is appropriate for maximum depths of 2000 m.
- Option B002/25PSI
- Modification for very shallow depths (17 m maximum).
Unlike other pressure options, this modification requires
changes to other aspects of the instrument.
- Option B002/190DB
- Modification to incorporate a less sensitive hydrophone
(approximately -190 dB sensitivity).
